Condition of construction at cargo transportation line in SkyWay EcoTechnoPark
The last report on the construction of the cargo track in EcoTechnoPark was quite a long time ago, and it showed an almost complete readiness of the first U-turn circle. Since then, a lot of work has been done on the erection of the loading/unloading terminal, the second U-turn section is almost ready, however, the last truss of the first one is installed only now.
Mikhail Kostyukov, Deputy General Director for quality, Skyway Technologies Co., explained the reasons for sequence of events - and most importantly, whether it is good or bad. He also described the stage of readiness at the cargo line and the time we will see it in operation.

Mikhail Kirichenko: Hallo! Here is Mikhail Kirichenko with you. You are watching SkyWay news, where we are reporting on the developments and implementation of breakthrough transport technologies. We are staying at SkyWay EcoTechnoPark, where the assembly of the last truss at the first U-turn circle on the cargo line is underway. We are waiting for Mikhail Kostyukov, who will explain us the details on the process going on here. Why is it just him? You'll find it out a bit later. OK, I am moving over to the forefront. But first, I'll have to put on my "combat armor", that is a protective helmet.
Mikhail Kostyukov: Presently, we are working at two U-turn sections of the cargo track structure. We are finishing to assemble the truss with a turn-out switch at one of them. At the second U-turn we are proceeding with assembly to strengthen and weld up circumferential seams on trusses.
Mikhail Kirichenko: I also see that work is in full swing at the loading/unloading terminal.
Mikhail Kostyukov: Exactly. We have finished reinforced concreting work and now we are assembling metal elements of the bunker at the loading/unloading terminal.
Mikhail Kirichenko: I'd like to ask you the following question. We have reported long ago that the first U-turn was under construction, almost ready. However, only today we see the assembly of the last truss. As I get it, it was up to you, the delay was up to you. You didn't accept it, because of some problems with the quality. Would you comment on it? It was actually completed then!
Mikhail Kostyukov: Actually U-turn was completed then. The problem was in one truss only. However, we could not accept it on two reasons. Firstly, there was a shortfall in delivery of one very important element for the turn-out switch - a ball bearing for it. Secondly, we had remarks concerning the quality. As you know, our quality requirements are very serious. We demand from our contractors a strict observance of their products' compliance with the acting norms and standards.
Mikhail Kirichenko: Thanks a lot. Anyway, we see the work is going on. Additional metal structures have been delivered. What are you planning to do at this track after the U-turns are completed?
Mikhail Kostyukov: Well, the U-turns will be connected with the straight section 150-meter long on two anchor supports. We shall also focus on strapping metal structures at the loading/unloading terminal, i.e. the bunker itself. As well as the metal elements to be mounted: poles, a conveyer belt and we shall launch a conveyer.
Mikhail Kirichenko: Shall we manage it by EcoFest?
Mikhail Kostyukov: Definitely. We will manage it. We are capable to do it. We are proceeding according to the construction project and the construction and assembly schedule.
